Electricity Generating Public Company Limited or EGCO Group would like to inform you that one of EGCO Group’s employees at the head office has tested positive for COVID-19 which was confirmed on January 1, 2021. The infected employee is currently in a hospital receiving treatment following the Ministry of Public Health’s infection control measures.
After COVID-19 case found, EGCO Group has immediately and strictly followed precautionary measures of the governmental entities to ensure safety and contain the contagion. Through contact tracing, the Company has notified the 31 high-risk employees to take the COVID-19 screening test, in which 28 of them showed negative results and the remaining 3 are waiting for the test results. However, all high-risk employees have been isolated for 14-day self-quarantine for further observation. Additionally, EGCO Group has already informed and coordinated with the related government sectors, as well as performed the disinfection procedures in all areas of the head office on January 3, 2021.
As a new wave of COVID-19 outbreak, EGCO Group has been following its Business Continuity Plan and implemented the Work from Home Policy since December 25, 2020. The Company would like to ensure that this incident shall not affect the business operation. EGCO Group continues to operate its business seamlessly with high efficiency throughout the supply chain both the head office and all power plants. Until today, all power plants in Thailand and overseas have been continuously operating and seamlessly supplying electricity to the distribution system.
